Many homeless youth look like they are doing well. The 2021 One Night Count, however, shows that women, all women of all colors, comprise over 60% of those living in cars and vans. Take the time to sit in your car any night in any downtown neighborhood and watch for youth who come down the street, looking like anyone else, yet forging in the street trash can for food or leftover Starbucks’ drink.
