GiveBIG is back with a new look, new features, and a new website. Say hello to GiveBIG Washington!

As fall approaches, it is time to start preparing for GiveBIG Washington 2020! We have been hard at work preparing for the campaign throughout the summer by reviewing results, analyzing your feedback, and soliciting sponsorship for 2020.

What stays the same?

  • GiveBIG Washington is still hosted by 501 Commons in collaboration with technology partner CiviCore and media partner Encore Media Group
  • Support and training provided by 501 Commons and CiviCore will continue
  • GiveBIG Washington will continue to be in early May (May 6, 2020), preceded by an early giving period
  • The cost of registration will be equal to or lower than GiveBIG 2019 fees
  • Functionality around peer-to-peer giving, matching gifts, and profile pages will continue but with enhanced features

2. Attend the “Preparing for GiveBIG Washington 2020” Webinar and Q+A
Date: Thursday, October 29, 2019
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • The Ostara Group will present a strategic webinar focused on what we learned from GiveBIG 2019 and how to incorporate that learning into your GiveBIG Washington 2020 campaign.
  • CiviCore, our GiveBIG technology partner, will discuss updates to the GiveBIG website and online campaign platform.
This webinar will be recorded, but attendance is encouraged so you can get your burning questions answered during our live Q+A!

3. Apply to join the GiveBIG Nonprofit Advisory Council

The GiveBIG Nonprofit Advisory Council (GiveBIG Council) provides a strong voice for nonprofits in the planning and success of the GiveBIG Washington campaign. Council members are nonprofit leaders and professionals who advise on sponsorship, media engagement, promotional strategies, fundraising training, and the conduct of the GiveBIG campaign.

The application process is now open and closes on Oct. 3. If you are interested in sharing your expertise and community connections to ensure the success of GiveBIG, click below to learn more and apply!
